Busiest months for Treatment Hub
Aerial view of ATG Group's soil Treatment Hub
Our first Treatment Hub has recorded its busiest two months since opening late last year.  We received more contaminated material in each of the months of June and July than any other month since we opened our gates just over six months ago.  The ATG Group Treatment Hub in Ballymena diverts contaminated soil from landfills, which means our clients don’t need to pay high rates of landfill tax.  We treat the soil using our LockedIn® method using various remediation techniques depending upon the type and concentrations of contamination.  Our treatment makes it safe to reuse.  Once that’s done, the material can either be sent back to the site or used for other construction projects.
Environmental Director Ciaran O’Neill says, “Our Treatment Hub is perfect for clients who want contaminated soil treated for reuse on-site but the site is too small for our in-situ method.  We can also use any reserves of material we receive for use on other projects.”
ATG Group is currently looking for sites to open similar Treatment Hubs in other areas of the UK and Ireland.

New brochure outlines our growing services

We’ve had a busy year and as well as adding new services, such as our Treatment Hub, we’ve refined others to ensure we’re giving our clients the best possible service.  We’ve also been gaining increasing experience and in-depth knowledge of remediating land contaminated with PFAS chemicals through a number of projects that have been initiated in the past year.  With these changes, we’ve created a new brochure to complement our website, which is continually updated.  It outlines all our services in land remediation, invasive plant species and domestic oil spills.  We’ll have copies available at Contamination & Land Remediation Expo (CLR Expo) and other shows we’re exhibiting at this autumn.
